Congratulations to this year's Colorado Leopold Conservation Award winner, Park County's own Eagle Rock Ranch!
CCALT is excited to announce Eagle Rock Ranch has been selected as the recipient of the 2026 Colorado Leopold Conservation Award!
Given in honor of renowned conservationist Aldo Leopold, the award recognizes farmers, ranchers, and forestland owners who inspire others with their dedication to environmental improvement. Since taking ownership of Eagle Rock Ranch 15 years ago, the Gottenborg family has made significant strides in restoring its conservation values and stewarding the land, including initiating the nation’s first elk migration agreement.
Eagle Rock Ranch is an inspiring reminder to us at CCALT of the dedication of the families that are at the heart the work we do. We couldn’t be more grateful for their hard work and commitment to working lands conservation in Colorado. Congratulations, Eagle Rock Ranch!
